View Full Version : "Memoirs of a Geisha"- decrypt resistant?

Tried backing up the recent release "Memoirs of a Geisha" and was unsuccessful using DVD Decryptor 3.5.4.0. I got the message:

"I/O Error:
Scsi Status: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition
......
Sense Area:......
Interpretation:L-EC Uncorrectable Error"
Then I tried DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15, again no luck. It reports this error when trying to open the disk:

"DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue
Invalid DVD navigation structure"

Same results on both my Plextor and NEC drives.

What is different about this DVD that causes these errors?

I suggest you perform a Search for "Sony ARccOS". You will find your answer.
BTW, I had no problem making a backup of my Memoirs of a Geisha disk.

Thanks- DVD Fab Decrypter worked great. I also tried PGC edit but Fab Decrypter seem much easier to use.
