batch encode stalls

got this problem again. batch endcoding stalls during the prepare phase of the first job. but the same project loaded from the project file prepares fine in regular mode.

well i reinstalled windows and every thing was great. until i updated office and had to reboot during a reencode of a dvd with the encoder going since the nag window about needing to reboot would stop the encoder. well now i am back to rebuilder stalling during the prepare phase.
