DVD Decrypter Ripping Speeds

I have recently noticed some speed inconsistencies in DVD Decrypter. Most DVD's that I have ripped rip at around 9-10x average. However, The Longest Yard (2005) fullscreen (for shame!) rips at about 2.5x. I am using DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 on Windows XP Home (latest patches). The disc is in perfect condition, and plays fine using PureVideo. When reading the drive doesn't spool up and whir loudly like it does on other discs at higher speeds. This is completely reproduceable on my setup, and I have tried many times, with all discs ripping at 9-10x, and this one disc ripping at 2.5x. Why the difference in speed?

1) Are your other rips also in "IFO mode"?

2) Was the rip good, or did it not play back properly?

Yeah, all rips are in IFO mode using stream processing to eliminate excess subtitles and audio. The quality of the rip was perfect, no defects whatsoever.

The quality of the rip was perfect, no defects whatsoever.That's really all that counts ;>} Since you say all other subsequent rips are much faster then, as I suggested initially, it may just be a poorly pressed disc...

If ALL of your rips were now slower, I'd suggest that you check to make certain that all drives have DMA on...

Online 61, it may be because you're leaving out some audio streams, you know, the drive passing/skippin sectors not required.
Considering that the speed refers to the data transfer rate (not the actual read rate). Make sense?
