VHS to DVD, with sub-title...?

Not for lack of searching, I just couldn't find such a guide to capture the caption info off the commercial VHS tapes. I have this "Land before Time" series from 1 to 10....by the time I get around to converting my kids might have grown up...:p

I do have an el-cheapo Kworld soft encoder of a capture card.

There is no universal guide since it depends on your capture card and software. Both would have to support it.

For example, with my ATI All In Wonder card, I can select in the ATI software to save the closed captions to a text file.

Look in the manual to see if it can be done or google your Kworld card model and "closed captions".

Hmmm, ATI AIW.

Mine came with a tele-text capture(by Philips?) which I suspect is geared towards European users. Will try again to find out...
