Ok, so my new problem is actually a step further down. I have the following files:
Video (MV2): MPEG2 Video 720x480 (16:9) 29.97fps 8000Kbps
Audio (AC3): PCM (AC3) 48000Hz 6ch 384Kbps
Subs: SRT
Now how do I author all these files into a DVD? I tried using Nero, but couldn't figure out where to add the audio and subs. I also have TMPGEnc DVD Author and I couldn't figure out how to add the subs. All I want to do is really create a DVD (with menu preferably). No idea how though :(

Are those the files created from your original PAL DVD, by following the link provided by moderator "Manono"? If so, you should be able to use the free trial version of DVDLab to create a menued DVD, with all audio and subtitles ("TMPGEnc DVD Author" through v.1.6 doesn't have provision for directly incorporating subtitles)...

Yes, the audio and video files are the product of me converting a PAL DVD into an NTSC DVD following this guide -> http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=300144
Thanks for the info, will try that:)

Sorry to double post, but I am having trouble importing the subs into DVD-lab.
What format should they be in? I am using SubRip to rip them out of the original VOBs I ripped to my hard drive from the DVD.

Hi-
Do you care about having a menu? If not, then get the subs in SUP format and the chapters in a celltimes.txt using PGCDemux, and then author using Muxman (or IFOEdit or ReJig). Add the celltimes.txt using File->Import Chapter. Also add the M2V, AC3, and SUP files and "Start".
If you're making a menu, then I use DVDAuthorGUI, which is supposed to accept SUP files (although I've read of problems with it) and definitely accepts SRT format subs. But then, so does DVDLab, as setarip_old recommends, but I don't know, as I don't use it. There's always a chance that you created a bad SRT file.
Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot. The chapters are given by frame number in the celltimes.txt, and not by time. They're for 25fps and not for 29.97fps. If making chapters for Muxman, you'll have to multiply each one by 1.1988 to get the 29.97fps chapter frame number ((29.97/25)=1.1988). Also, if using Muxman, you'll have to change the sub colors when done using DVDSubEdit or PGCEdit. You may have to change the sub position using DVDSubEdit.

Mux with muxman.
Add a menu with Titlewriter. You can add the menu background of your choice or substitute it in VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) or DVD Remake Pro (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/index.php).

Ok, So I took the VOBs I ripped and opend them with PGCDemux. When I tried to demux the Cell time and subpic streams, I got an error saying:

Why do I get an error like that? Did I rip the VOBs wrong? I ripped them with DVD Decrypter in IFO format. Anyone? :(

You should probably use DVD Decrypter in File Mode. Either that or DVDFab Decrypter. This isn't some newer movie, is it, that might have some extra protection?
Or, you should be able to get IDX/SUB subs using VobSub Configure (comes with the VobSub package), which can be instantly converted to SUP using SubToSup.

Hmm, odd thing happend now. I ripped the DVD in File mode with DVD Decrypter and used PGCDemux to take out the subs and celltimes. I multiplied the cell times by 1.1988. What is strange however is that PGCDemux stopped at 52% and said it was done. I found this strange but continued to see what would happen.
I authored with Muxman and everything worked out (chapters work great, so do audio and video) but thoes damn subs. They are on for about half of the movie (52% LOL??) and then they just stop, no more subs :(
When using PGCDemux and I am opening the VOB IFOs, I picked the first one, VTS_01_0.IFO. But there is also VIDEO_TS and VTS_02_0 and VTS_03_0. I didn't know which one to pick really. But I assumed 01_0 was the file I needed because it had 23 cells and there are 23 chapters.
I'm kinda clueless here as to what I should do in order to get the subs to be full way through the movie, anyone?
EDIT: I didn't mess with the subs or anything after I got them with PGCDemux. Maybe I need to convert thoes into 29.97 fps as well for NTSC???

Strange, alright. I've never had that problem with PGCDemux. It sounds like you chose the right IFO. You choose the one that goes with the movie. Just look at the vobs to see which is the biggest set. Or look in PGCDemux to see which IFO corresponds to the length of your movie. Don't know why it stopped at 52%, though. Maybe getting the IDX/SUB and converting them will work.
Maybe I need to convert thoes into 29.97 fps as well for NTSC???
Since you're using the DGPulldown method, the length of the movie doesn't change, and nothing should have to be done with the subs. Except maybe for adjusting the positioning and/or colors later on.

:thanks:
w00t guys, it worked :D
I used VobSub Configure and SubtoSup and everything worked out great.
I can't wait to burn it and test it on an NTSC DVD Player. Thanks alot guys, I don't think I could have figured all this out (especially the celltimes and multiplying them by 1.1988, who would have thought!) and goten everything to work without you guys helping me. Thanks again :thanks:

Hi-
I can't wait to burn it and test it on an NTSC DVD Player
I hope you've already thoroughly tested it out in a software player, such as PowerDVD. If you're not all that experienced at this, and it seems to me you're not, you've just completed a major and quite difficult project. It's kind of like jumping into the deep end of the pool before you can swim. Good going, and thanks for reporting back.
