DV Raw files

My boss just showed me a collection of files that were saved on a Firestore FS-4 hard drive recorder in DV RAW format. He meant to save them as AVI type 2.

What programs will play/edit DV RAW?
Are there programs that will mux them into AVI?

I never used this software and I don't know if there is a free alternative to convert the Firestore RAW format.

If you're on linux, then kino (freshmeat.net/projects/kino) does a pretty good job of reading and exporting various dv formats.

Does the Firestore allow you to output the video back to the camera? If it does, you could dump to tape and then hook the camera to the computer and capture the tape using type-2. No quality will be lost.
