i made a svcd of brigdet jones' diary whihc is 90mins. dvd2svcd says that with this length, i should use 3 cd's, but i wanted 2. in the end, the cd;s had 750 mb on both. which is annnoying becuase i just bought 100 700mb cd's.
is there a way to tell the program that the cd's a 700??
also, is there a way i can change the rip i've got, or do i have to start from the beginnging.????

did you read the newbie reference near the very bottom about 806MB on 700MB cds? I'll add the tidbit into the newbie faq.

i did read the newbie FAQ and i don't think there was any mention of the cd size.

looks like you don't know the real size of a cd... Please, read this (http://www.ping.be/satcp/realsize01.htm) article.

Be nice guys.
@rudeboymcc,
Do read the faq. You'll find that SVCDs use mode2 to allow up to about 800 MB on a 80 min CDR, and about 738 MB onto a 74 min.
So you probably don't need to resplit the movie. And if you did, I think you could use crash recovery in dvd2svcd to do so, but you'd end up with more CDs (you can't fit 1500 MB onto two 74 min CDRs)

ok, i encoded bridget jones' diary, and i came out with 2 image files both abot 797mb. i use 700mb cd's, and i tried burnign with nero, it goes to 100%, but when it tries to lead out, the cd writer stops completely, and when i try eject, it doesn't et me becuase it thinks it's still writing. do i just need to re do it and make it 750 mb??

The disk will probably play fine, because most times it just didn't managed to write the LeadOut. SVCD don't need the LeadOut, so just try to play this disk in your player.

i tried that but i just spins around in the drive while it tries to recognise it.
