Hello!

What is the quickest way to convert an avi to svcd (2 Pass VBR)?
TMPEnc?
BBMpeg?
Resizing with Virtual Dub and then Frameserving to CCE?
Resizing with TMPEnc and then Frameserving to CCE?

Is NanDub quicker than Virtual Dub in resizing and can you frameserve with it?

Which ways do you use?

Thanks in Advance

I think you'll find, for multipass, the fastest way is to resize to a new avi (preferably using the lossless Huffy codec), then encode from that avi directly in CCE. This is especially true as you apply more filters. However, that takes a lot of hard drive space.

Other than that, they probably stack like this (fastest to slowest):
- Precise BiLinear resize in vDub, frame serve to CCE
- Resize in TMpg, vfapi to CCE
- Recise BiCubic resize in vDub, frame serve to CCE
- Resize and Encode in TMpg
- BBMpg (don't know what you'd use for resize here - probably FlasK)

Actually, the last two may be pretty close to the same speed, but historically TMpg gives much better quality.

Thank you!

Are there any commercial all-in-one solutions which are quicker?

Which method do you use?
