1st - I've tried a Forums Search; but so far I am unsure how
to pinpoint the phrases to get any applicable results :(

This is my 1st go with GUI 4 DVDAuthor, and all I wanted - at least I thought that - was explained in the Manual for the app (explanation for switched menus (http://www.videohelp.com/~gfd/Help/SwitchedMenus.html)). But then it got complicated :/
The titleset menus in my case are ment to start the movies directly if selected from the main level and only be visible during the movie if the chapter menu is called - so far no problem, but one minor glitch remains: How do I call the main level menu (more especially the corresponding submenu on the main level) once the movie is finished, or with a "back to main" from the titleset menu?
Just a coincidence, but alike the example in the documentation I have 3 titles - and I want to return to the submenu with the right highlights and pictures corresponding to the title that was started (so returning from title 2 should jump to menu2 and not the main menu (1), etc.). The default "jump vmgm menu" from the titleset, or "call vmgm menu" from the titles post action would just call the first main menu and so the display for "select title 1" - now I would like to jump/call menu 2 and 3 from the title 2/3's post action and also the jump from the corresponding titleset menu - but if I just refer to menu 1/2/3 (first editing idea that came to my mind) in those calls the create dvd process stops and tells me those references are not valid.
Any Ideas how I can to this properly? Thanks!

Ok - sorry!
Don't ask why.... but after I restarted the project it works with just the editing I tried at first. Sigh, learning by doing - I am really not sure what went wrong with the first setup :/

P.S.: Now I just have to think about a workaround for soft-dvd players that are highlighting buttons/titles with mouse over and so are not using the RC-Cursor-Buttons (so anims, gfx-background will not change according to "highlighted" button)... but that is something I call work in progress and as named before - learning by doing :insane:

Sigh.. Why is it that everytime I think that I come up with a simple idea and layout everything starts to get more then complicated - just as if I am living in a totally different reality

[and so far I have given up on the idea for chapter selections - that gfx buttons are used (for selection) and according to the "selected"/"switched to" one a predefined text area will show the name for the chapter... sigh... double sigh... somehow dvd-authoring seems like "dirty-workaround" all-the time... but maybe thats just me and MHO :spock:]
