DvdShrink vob jumps

I am attempting to burn a dvd which has been edited in Nerovision 5. After using Ifoedit I have 7 vob files. I am running these through Dvdshrink so that I can fit the video (1hr 25 mins) onto a standard dvd. Dvdshrink converts the 7 vobs to 5. (4*1 Gb & 1*625mb approx). When I view the video on pc or on a test dvd in a standard player I am getting a black screen at the end of each vob. This screen lasts for approx 1 sec. then the dvd continues on with the next vob. Can anyone help?

It sounds like, in one of your procedures, you've created each .VOB as a separate TITLE...

Hi Setarip_old. Thanks for replying. That was my thoughts. The only place I could see any reference to menus was in Nerovision - and this was unticked. However - I did "solve" the problem last night. If I use Nero Express V6 I get a perfect dvd! Nerovision Express seems to be the culprit, even though the Menu option is unticked. Just in the subject - are there alternatives to Nero for burning which are recognised as "better". (I know "best" is frowned upon, which is not my question - simply what recognised robust alternatives are out there for a noob!!!)

I can only tell you that I've had no difficulty using NERO Burning ROM to burn my DVDs. I've no experience using either NEROVision or NERO Express...Thanks again.As always, my pleasure ;>}
