I had errors using Shrink to copy Shop Girl, so I ripped it ("all files") using DVDdecrypter but now Shrink will not recognize it when I call it up using the reauthor tab. I can watch it on PowerDVD by selecting the movie files, but can't burn it. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Hi!
"Shopgirl" (Region 1) contains "RipGuard" copy protection. One proper way to get a good rip (acceptable to DVD Shrink, etc) is as follows:
1) Rip using DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 in "File" mode (select "ALL" files, NOT "movie" files) and
2) Load the rip into VOBBlanker, set a new output directory/folder, select "Process all" and then press the "Process" radiobutton

Thanks, it worked. I appreciate your help.
BTW exactly what does VOBblanker do in layman's language?

Thanks, it worked. I appreciate your help.As always, my pleasure ;>}BTW exactly what does VOBblanker do in layman's language?I'm glad you asked for this "in layman's language" - because I'd be hard-pressed to provide a technical explanation ;>} What it's used for in regard to "RipGuard" copy protected DVDs is to "cleanup"/eliminate the dummy sectors created by DVD Decrypter and eliminate references to them in the .IFOs and .BUPs...

In layman's language, VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) allows you to blank any segment of code (kinda like "still image" in DVD Shrink but the segments are tiny little blanks of 10k). In doing so, it runs through the VOBs and resets the various pointers.
When not blanking (just processing a ripped DVD), it also has the neat effect of fixing all these pointers and deleting all the unreferenced material on a DVD. It also fixes up the IFO files.
All this and the author, jsoto still won't even ask for a donation!
