View Full Version : Movie comes out too short (truncated)

Hi,

I'm using the Big 3 following the http://www.doom9.org/mpg/big3-scenaid.htm guide.

At the end of it, my movie is obviously only 2/3 of its length.
In fact, the DVD was only 3.6GB full instead of 4.3 and Nero gave a message that the VTS_01_03.VOB file was be missing.

I looked up the working directory and saw that the M2V file for the main VTS, created by DIF4U was already too short (same length as the result, when playing it).

So I assume something must have gone terribly wrong at the DIF4U/Ripping stage.
I feed DIF4U with a mounted version of the movie, through a virtual drive.

Please help me in localizing the error.

Thanks in advance
Tyler

Without any specific logs, it's hard to tell the problem..
I'd try 'mock stripping' the image with vobblanker, then creating the image again with imgtools. The dvd might have some authoring oddities, which confuse dif4u or other programs.

@ Tyler81
we really need to see the log files to troubleshoot this - in particular the dif4u log file

could you also provide the ifo - vts overview - information for the vts that is causing you grief.

cheers
