I have a MP4 video (AVC/H264 Video and MPEG-4 Audio AAC) which I want to convert to MPEG-2. It is 25 fps and about 24 mins long. I'm using Avisynth and CCE 2.70. My script is like this

directshowsource( )
Lanczos4Resize(672,448,0,0,640,480)
AddBorders(16,16,16,16)
changefps(23.976)

The video and audio turns out to be out of sync. I've used this method many times on avi files and they came out fine. So I tried assumefps(23.976,true) and convertfps(23.976), the video and audio is still out of sync. Any other command line that I can use to keep the video and audio in sync and the length of video same as the source?

It's not a movie, it's a homemade short clip someone post on the internet and I want to put it on DVD.

You encode the audiopart also with CCE? Why not convert the audio with besweet and encode only the videopart with CCE.
If you want you can cut a little part out of your video and write me a pm. I'll take a look at it.

btw. did you play the avs in a mediaplayer to see if the avs is sync?

@Bird Brain: Nice name of you. It fits to your posts.

I tried Besweet as well but the video and audio is still out of sync. When I play the avs in a media player, the video and audio is out of sync as well, maybe it's the directshowsource() that's the problem. Anyway I'm using TMPGEnc and it solves the problem, the video and audio are in sync, I did not use Avisynth.

directshowsource is known to have sync issues, it was mentioned few times in the avisynth forum, try using avisource next time.
