Hey guys,
I backed up King Kong with DVD Decrypter. Here is what I got:

VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_PGC_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_PGC_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_PGC_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_PGC_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_PGC_01_5.VOB
VTS_01_PGC_01_6.VOB
VTS_01_PGC_01_7.VOB
VTS_01_PGC_01_8.VOB

I open up DVDFab (version 0.17.0) and click "Copy main movie from DVD (Strip/Split)" and then select the folder with VTS_01_0.IFO and the output directory. Next I check the "Split to 2 disk" box and click the "Process" button. DVDFab then crashes. Also, if I click the "Analyze" button while on this screen DVDFab crashes.

I tried running DVDFab again, and choosing "Copy Complete DVD" instead. This time when I click process I get a "Can't copy IFO from source file" error.

So I'm at a bit of a loss about what to do. Does anyone know what is going on? I tried searching the forums for DVDFab crashing and a few posts came up, but none of the replies offered any solutions.

Hi!

I believe your first step is the cause of your problem.

I'd suggest you use DVD Decrypter in "File" mode to rip "ALL files", NOT just "movie files"...

Ok, thanks for the reply. However, if I back up the whole disk like that wouldn't it also have the menu, extra content, etc? Would I be able to rip that out by selecting "Copy main movie from DVD (Strip/Split"?

Would I be able to rip that out by selecting "Copy main movie from DVD (Strip/Split"?Yes - but you have to start with a FULL set of files, as I described...
