How to verify if a Rip has no errors?

Is it possible to look if a rip was done flawlessly? I want to be sure to 100% that rippings were done correctly so that I won't have problems when reencoding.

That wonderful sounds of DVD Decrypter "singing" to me was all I ever needed. Have faith in it.

Although the musical tones of DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 indicate that it has successfully ripped your DVD "without errors", this could be misleading if the DVD is "RipGuard" copy-protected.

In such a case, DVD Decrypter would have replaced bad sectors with dummy sectors. You would actually have to use "VOBBlanker" (or "FixVTS") to "clean up" the decrypted .IFO and .VOB files. Otherwise you may have synchronization problems with your re-encoding to DivX, XviD, or similar...

But then the OP hasn't said what rip method is used.

I just wanted to make sure that "Tyler81" wasn't misled into believing that just because DVD Decrypter played its "successful rip" tune that he/she was assured of a rip that didn't need further work, as is the case with "RipGuard" copy protected DVDs...

Well, that's why I brought it up.

Tyler81, if you use DVD Decrypter to rip, then you need to look carefully at the log file to see if there are any errors in there. If not, you can be comforted that the rip is fine.

If you use any other tool...
