StaxRip & External Progs

Stax,

Would it be possible to bundle all the external programs that StaxRip uses into a single download package? It would be much easier to install and setup StaxRip and you'll know that you have everything you need before you begin.

Finding good web hosting at an affordable price can be a problem. I guess I'm just too lazy to download all the components individually.

I was thinking the same, at least at all the components required to encode x264+aac should come bundled...

Depending on how large the file with everything is, I can probably mirror it. I have 250 GB per month of bandwidth

A bundle has advantages but it has also disadvantages and problems, some are hard to overcame like the licenses of some applications don't permit distribution (e.g. the new Nere audio), it's problematic to host such a big package and it's not easy to put it together and maintain it.

But hosting is only one (relatively minor) issue w/bundling as stax has pointed out.

I don't blame him one bit for not trying to do this--all the external apps are changing all the time...
