I know that someone out there can help or at lest give me a answer. I have been making dvd videos and found that on some of the dvd players I have will stall when reading the outer layers of the dvd . Screens will stall or pause when trying to read. The origional dvd will play ok but the copy will stall out. I tried playing the troubled dvd's in the dvd recorder and they will work ok.
I have checked for finger prints or smudges on the dvd but they look ok.
Do you think a dvd head cleaner will help???

It could be faulty media. What brand of DVD media are you using? I'd recommend using Taiyo Tuden discs (made in Japan) if possible.

Try burning at a lower speed such as 4X.
