So THAT'S why piracy is such a big problem today, they quit making stuff like this!
I saw it, it's pretty funny. But I'm wondering who they distributed that to? It's too long to be a TV spot, but it's obviously meant for kids/teens. So, did they just send this to schools and have teachers play it for their kids? Not sure how else kids would see it. My elementary school actually had a computer class back around the time this was made, and I never saw anything like this.

The computer business was nearly killed by piracy in the early days. At universities, people would pass around the latest game punch cards and kids would be using #2 pencils to mark the hole locations on paper. Then those P2P networks running on 110pbs teletype lines were making the music industry pull out its hair.

Holy COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That Add is AWESOME...
I donīt know what scares me the most: if having the authorities locking away for copying some software.. or having that guy showing up in my screen.
(Will that do? :))

Many of adds nowadays here in germany try to indicate that piracy is a crime like rob and steal, prisons and gangsters are shown, even the radio and TV fee everybody has to pay does it showing a person that is prolly supposed to look like a gangsta rapper, look at the chain :o

Please completely edit out the profanity per forum rule 4. Thank you. There's no need for this kind of talk.

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe this is the root of all gangsta rap.
You see, back in their underground days, NWA originally rapped about software piracy, then only later moved on to drugs, murder, beating women, etc.
