I have a 3GB MPEG2 file captured from a TV card and trrying to use DGIndex to build a d2v project file for Gordian Knot. But the program seems to stall part way through (program is fine I can pause/resume/stop). Playing the section of the file that it stalls at in DGIndex the info field says "block error".

Was using DGIndex 1.45 (same results with 1.46 & 1.47b8)

The program is fine with all other captured programs, just this one is causing problems. I also note that Gspot has an incorrect length (says 50m which is where the block error is rather than 1h30m).

Is there something that will fix this (e.g. a plugin or is it a case of using another app to correct the mpeg first)

I can't tell you why GK stalls. Does DGIndex stall or just show some macroblocks?

You can try repairing the stream with 3rd-party tools. Or, if it is just a single frame, you can delete it in your Avisynth script.

Thanks, DGIndex played the file but just showed block error and an mb error.

It turned out to be a corruption (came up as CRC error when I tried to copy the file to another directory). As it was at one single point I simply split the file around that and rejoined (so lost just a few frames).
