View Full Version : Achieving the best quality videos

Hi,

I'm interested in some suggestions on how to achieve the best possible quality encode when using RealVideo 10 at a bit-rate of 1,250 to 1,500.

I've done a lot of testing with RealProdcuer and found that videos encoded using quality download (70% or 80%) audiences seem to look better then videos encoded using normal vbr audiences at the same bit-rate or slightly higher. However, when I use quality download I get big frame drop issues in the final video that I can't seem to fix. I guess this could be due to the max bit-rate but I have the same issue when using "100% quality download" and that has a max bit-rate of 10,000. I should also point out that target average bit-rate videos don't drop frames no matter what the bit-rate is set to.

Also, Sirber, I have a question for you.

Am I correct to say that RealAnime 3.20 doesn't support video with PCM audio and doesn't allow for export as .rmvb container?

It didn't seem to when I changed around the settings and then tried to import a test video and export another test video.

Thanks

i use easy real media producer.....

i use the setting of 450kbps - 900kbps vbr. and the option encode all frames in the settings. i always end with good quality when i encode HDTV rips.

That "encode all frames" option seems to fix my issue with dropped frames when encoding using target quality. Thanks for suggesting this.
