making an Xvid menu

hello, i have a dvp642 dvd player thats capable of playing dvds as well as xvid/divx files, now i have a few shows in xvid format, i want to make a menu to select when i pop the cd in, is there a way, i know how to make menu's for dvds but then i would need them in dvd formats. thx so much.

You are stuck with the player's file browser.

That said, XviD is just a video codec. It is the container that determines whether menus are possible or not. mp4, mkv and divx all support menus and XviD. However none are supported by the dvp642. It does support .divx, just not menus. DivX Ultra certification I believe is required for that.
