Newbie Question: Speed depening on Output Stream?

I've searched the forums up down for it, but I couldn't find anything: Since xvid_encraw supports Output to raw/avi/mkv, I wonderd if there is any difference in Speed depending on the selected output, and if yes, how servere it is.

I don't think there is any difference at all, muxing into a container takes only a negligible amount of time.

[squid_80]

Raw should be quickest.
AVI slightly slower.
MKV slowest.

But honestly you shouldn't see much of a difference.
