View Full Version : Deinterlacing in MPC???
Can someone please tell me what kind of deinterlacing does MPC use? I can't find any option about it! I know that it has it enabled because I played the Final Fantasy VII yesterday and it did a very good job deinterlacing it!

with its internal mpeg2 decoder mpc uses simple blending as default method. It is a bad method of deinterlacing.
What is your source? compared to what mpc does a good job in deinterlacing?

Depends on what DShow filters are used to decode/deinterlace your video. You should check the filter graph and find out, which filter is doing the deinterlacing. Maybe it's not one of MPC's internal filters that does the deinterlacing...
