Dear All,
I have (just) learned that an AVI-file is just a "container"-file which can hold several different kinds of video-formats (like a ZIP-File for Data-Files).
Due to this reason, many AVI files do not run on standard programs like Media Player, Irfan View, etc. because even if AVI, the codec behind is missing.
(a) Is there any software that can tell me what video format really is behind an AVI-file (and/or some kind of "unpacker")?
(b) Is there any good general guide on AVI-Files which I can find either in this forum or somewhere else?
