How to fix audio & video not in sync

Occationally I get one where the audio is way out of sync with the video.
Anyone know how to fix this?

I did think of that, tried that, didn't find an answer. So I made what I thought was a courteous request.

Sharktooth gave you a perfectly appropriate response, considering it's in the rules to do so, and that there are threads in almost every sub-forum that cover the prodecure in detail. I'll admit that the forum's search engine has a problem in that it doesn't allow you to search for all terms but instead pulls up all posts with any of the terms, but even so there are several related threads on the first page of results.

Please be less ready to flame others for slights, real or imagined. We use English here, but ... we are a global community and it is easy to misunderstand one another and for many, English is a second language.

Unless you list what your source material was, what software used, and all the steps performed (preferably with any log file produced), then no one can help.

I suppose it depends on whether you are asking how to change your encoding to stop this, or how to correct it afterwards?
