I'm running Constantine now. Sorry I'm a little slow but I'm suffering from The World's Worst Cold at the moment.
I checked out dirio's post and I noticed that his problem is not identical to mine: his relates to a scene-change whereas mine does not. I don't know if it's significant.
I also have Pirates of the Caribbean so I'll try it when Constantine finishes. It will make a pleasant change from watching Constantine.

I've completed Constantine and the dodgy bits worked well. The original stuttering scenes played smoothly (although they already did using 33.04) and the blocking in hell was absent.
I've not yet burned to DVD for a full test but I'll do that tomorrow. Current viewing was done via DVD Shrink's viewer on the PC, which is usually good enough to show problems, but I thought you might be keen to know my preliminary results.
Looks good so far!

Update.
Constantine plays well an my Pioneer standalone. The only odd thing is a stutter and audible "chirp" during the Warner Bros logo at the beginning. Odd! Could be my player I suppose, because it doesn't do this after it has warmed-up.
I've compared my rebuilt version with the original dvd and I have to say that I prefer the DVD-RB/AQE version. It seems to have more detail, better focus and skintones are more natural. How can this be? I had always thought that any changes were compromises and re-encoding could never improve on an original programme.
I'm still trying to find my original Pirates of the Caribbean. I'll post again when I have some results.

Thank you very much for the feedbacks and your tests, that's much appreciated!!!

Update
I ran my PALUK Pirates of the Caribbean last night. I used AQU 3-pass on a movie-only backup with AC3 English sound and English subs.
I noticed none of the artifacts mentioned by dirio which was a little puzzling. I've no doubt that problems can arise but my rebuild was ok for some reason.
At the risk of irking some people, I did find that the output was slightly oversized (4.38Gb). I did employ LanczosResize so that might have contributed. Should I have used four passes to compensate for the extra mucking about, I wonder? Actually, I ran the output files through DVD Shrink to produce the iso with no problems. (Sacrilege:devil: :D )
I also suffered from the same stutter and audio "chirp" at the beginning of playback. Perhaps I ought to look araound for a wet lens cleaner!
Video detail and definitition was, as with Contantine, top-notch and a pleasure to watch.

Does AutoQMatEnc do something to audio streams?

Not yet...but it will come. I'm currently trying to implement Audio encode (AC3/MP2)
Thank you for the feedback. I may have an idea of the pb for Dirio. I'm working on it. About the oversize, many people are mentioning that even with HC. I think the issue is it's more difficult for DVDRB to target properly the final size since the Menu encoding was introduced.
