Hi,
i dont know if ya guys face this issue, recently i burned a dvd video at 8x speed. its runs fine on my dvd players, but when i burned a dvd video at 12x speed, the movie gets very jerky while playing on the dvd players. so the qns i wanna ask is , is there a burning speed limit for dvd players out there to read properly or the problem lies on the dvd-burner itself?

i am using LiteOn 16X SHM-165P6S super allwrite dvd writer.

Hi!

The lower the burn speed, the greater chance of good playback...

try burning your discs at half there recommended speed ie 8x times should be burned at 4x e.t.c that should solve your problem if you have not fixed it already..

It also depends greatly on the quality of your media.

While disc's are sold under many different brand names, what is important to look at is the Media ID, which will tell you the disc manufacturer, and is much more revealing.

I had some Verbatim 16X rated discs, Disc ID: MCC-004-00, which play perfectly burnt @ 12X, and give an excellent Disc Quality score when tested with nero DVD Speed.... but generally I prefer not to burn over 8X.

Hello,:D
It's better to not rush up the burning process, burn DVD with slower speeds. Doing so will decrease the possibilities of recoding errors. If you’re willing to take few more minutes of waiting, burning at slower speeds can brings you more stable and higher quality DVDRs.
