I am new to DVD ripping.

I have a DVD movie copied onto my harddrive and its all in .vob file extensions. I use Dr.Divx 1.0.6 and after selecting the .vob file for encoding and after it runs an analysis on it, detecting aspect ratio and bitrate, comes the dialog box which shows that there is no audio in the file !! So obviously after encoding, there is no audio in the output file. Why is this, am I missing any audio codecs on my pc, because this is the first time I am experiencing this problem. Please advise. Extremely sorry if a question of this scale has been asked previously.

:confused: :scared:

@foxhound

Hi!

First things first - Have you played your hard drive rip to determine if it plays with audio or not?

You mean after dr.divx has encoded the video file ? Yes, I have played it and it doesnt have any audio. The .vob file played by PowerDVD plays audio.
