Hey, guys
I've got a DVD with a bunch of the videoclips I like
(it's on my hard drive as VOBs).
Looks like audio is in AC3.
How do I extract(convert or whatever) the audio to get MP3s out of those VOBs?
I've got Gordian Knot installed.
I am not really proficient with it, but I can get a particular program to work if I know which one :))

Thanks a lot!

You can use DVD Decrypter to only rip the audio tracks... and then use BeLight to conver the AC3 files to MP3.

I tried that but could not find a way for a DVD decrypter to open DVD from the folder..

You have to run DVDDecrypter in IFO mode under the mode tab.
Then you can select the Title/Chapter under the input tab.
Under the Sream proccesing tab thick stream proccessing, thick the audio stream box en select demux.
Hit the rip button and you will have an AC3 stream.
Run that stream through BeLight.

I guess I did not make myself clear.
I have many video clips taken from different DVDs on my hard drive as VOBs.
So I was thinking maybe there is a program that can grab stream from the folder on the Hard drive.

Use this guide (http://www.doom9.nl/index.html?/ac3_procedures.htm) to extract the ac3 stream, use Belight to do the conversion.

A simple way... ummm... grab a copy of vdubmod... and simply open whatever vob you want and goto 'streams' then 'stream list' then select demux...

Thanks a lot for your answers!!!
I have tried a whole bunch of tools for demuxing now that I know what I am looking for :)
VOBEdit, BeSweet, BeLight, etc.
Basically, what I was looking for is a VOB -> MP3 that can do it in bulk. That was a bit of a challenge.
FOr example BeLight0.22beta can do multiple files, but can't read VOBs and BeLight0.21 can read VOBs but can't process multiple files :))

It was fun learning a bit about all this tools in the process :)

Anyway, I found BeSweetGui that does seem to do the trick for me.

And next time - I would do it from the DVD through DVDDecrypter so it's much easier :))
