I've been burning for a long time, but my new set of DVDs hasnt been working too well. They're Fugi +R 16x, and ive used the 8x ones before fine. But now, out of about 10 attempted burns, only 2 worked. An error message came up each time saying 'The drive reported an error. Sense Key = Medium Error. Sense Code = 0x73, 0x03'

Does anyone have any idea what that means / why the faster version of the same +Rs aren't working?

Oh yeah it might help if I told you I was on a G5. Sooo any help is appreciated.

hi duffman2188 and welcome to the forum!

although i am by far a mac guru, we do have a g5 in our office, and experience has shown that it can be very picky about blank dvd speeds.

if it were a pc i would highly reccomend searching for a firmware upgrade for your burner, however i am not sure what you would do in the case of the mac.

if you do not get any further response i will move this the mac subforum.

cheers

thanks man.

i just found out its not only DVDs I try to burn, but also ISOs and i'm guessing whatever else. So I'm pretty sure it was just the DVDs.
