Hi all,

Great work and many thanks to those who keep this forum, programs, and ideas alive!

I've been using DVDRB for a while with CCE and just installed AQM for the auto matrix features. Unfortunately, i'm running into a weird problem.

1) DVD RB is prof version 1.09.03, and AQM is was installed via installer using the newest, non-beta version. AMD proc, XP sp2.

2) The encoding according to the dos window was successful. All menus, audio, and stills look OK. However, the rest of the video is unrecognizable. It consists of diagonal lines across the screen. (Kind of like the old V-hold issues from old tubes).

3) I've tried this with 2 different discs, with QmatOP on and off, and with different numbers of passes; all yield the same problem. CCE encoded the same files without error.

I've seen other threads talk about errors installing AQM, but i just used the installer, and like i said, it did its job...just not correctly. Any ideas?

This problem is caused by the latest Avisynth version 2.5.7, go with an older version(I'm using 2.5.6), works great :)

cheers

I am actually running 2.5.6 too. I'll reinstall 2.5.6 to see if that helps.

Thanks!!

Well...

I completely uninstalled / reinstalled DVD RB, AQM and just used the AviSynth that is bundled with DVD RB installer...and it works now.

Thanks for the help!

And thanks for this great program!!

It will be supported, once it wont be an alpha version anymore.....

And this is a good time to remind everyone... Alpha and Beta software are meant for testing, not for production. If you run into a problem you should always, always assume it is the Alpha or Beta software at the root. Test it as you should -- but don't forget you installed it -- because if it had no bugs it wouldn't be called alpha/beta!!!

Well ironically enough, the more bugfree and reliable ver of AutoQmatenc are Beta ver ;)

Hmmm not always...as a matter of fact for the latest versions you're right, but before, people had surprises.....Especially when new features are introduced!
