Playback problems on a Sony DVP-CX995V [Archive]

I've been backing up my movies for a while now and decided to buy a Sony DVP-CX995V to store them in. I've always used Verbatim or Sony DVD+R discs. The problem I'm having is playback on the new DVD changer is giving me a huge white box on screen that comes and goes intermittently. These discs will play fine on other players around the house. Anyone have a clue as to what would cause this issue?

Hi!

That sounds like one of the versions of Macrovision. Do you hve this new player connected through a VCR?
