Hello. Every single time I want to compress video using the newest Xvid codec (Kopei), Vdub crashes. It runs fine the first 20 sec, but then craches. No matter what video I want to compress. Ive tried 10 different videos, from different sources..

What it is meant to do is take the output from the compression process, decompress it and display it in the output window so you can see in realtime how the compression is affecting the quality. Unfortunately it doesn't work with xvid any more for some reason.

ok, but why decompress it? whats the difference?
however i always use normal or fast when encoding, so no output to show.

To see how compression changes the picture. For example if you use a too low bitrate the picture will look like crap with blocks everywhere. Display Decompressed Output will show the result as the job is being run so you can abort if it isn't what you want. It works with all encoding modes.
