Hi there,

I’m trying to backup The Matrix R2 and used DvdRemake Pro 3.5 to strip all unwanted extra’s and stripped the unwanted ILVU cells from the main movie.
Running the exported disc with DVD-RB it stops after the prepare phase. DVD-RB doesn’t run further then showing the calculated bitrate and the ‘prepare’ button is still showing ‘abort’.

When i create a test export with DvdRemake (only a few seconds of each cell) DVD-RB has the same problem preparing this export. Jdobbs i can send you the test export files (100 MB) if you want to, so you can debug this problem.

Have you tried it without preprocessing to see if the problem is truly DVDRB?

Tried the original and DVD-RB hasn't any problems preparing it.

well then, you found your solution. the problem is with your remake project, no with rebuilder.

There's nothing wrong with my project cause i know for sure i've created a fully compliant disc. Also dvdshrink has no problems opening this disc.

DVD Shrink has no problems because DVD Shrink doesn't have to make sense out of it. It changes a few parameters and moves on... I wish people could understand the difference.

If your disc was fully compliant DVD Rebuilder would have no problems with it.

Edited menu with menushrink, cut end credits with vobblanker, removed ilvu cells with pcgedit and vobblanker, used fixvts... everythink was fine.

so the problem not in dvd-rb but the way the matrix was ripped to your machine and handeled after, i guess.

If Shrink open the disc that means nothing,I've backed few DVDs with Shrink without the error but they didn't work.Last I recall was,Out Of Season and In The Cut.Solution in both cases was ripp with DVDFab and then Shrink.
