Is gMPlayer supposed to be included with the Windows binaries?

http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html

I don't see it anywhere, nor can I find it anywhere for download for that matter.

if for gmplayer you mean a gui interface there are already 2

the native at GianLuigi Tiesi site (http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php)

or for direct link http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer/gui/mplayer-gui-rtm-cvs-20060323.7z

alse there is MPUI (http://mpui.sourceforge.net/)

i prefer MPUI

OK, I get an interface with those - thank you.

"<vo_directx><FATAL ERROR>could not create primary surface"

That also comes with the plain command line version - and I'm trying with a standard MPEG1 file. MPUI doesn't give me the eror, but it freezes all the same. Thoughts?

if you drag&drop your file upon mplayer.exe do you get any error ?

is your gpu supporting overlay ? or ... have you an outdated directx ?

Sorry for the delay - Yep, I get the error then, too. GPU is integrated but recent (Ati x200), DirectX should be up to date. WXP SP2.
