fps problem

i have a problem with a xvid aprox 44min (23.976), i set the CCE to 23.976, the main window of CCE tells me that the duration is the same that gspot give me, but when i see the encoded video its complete but the lenght is 14 min (in 23.976).
What can be the problem? i encoded like 10 videos and this is the first time im having this problem

It happened to me few times, on average one of 50 encodes or so, More then likely some sort of bad frame, i tried creating a direct stream copy with vdub, i tried error seeking, using just the video, nothing helps, the only solution i came with was to cut the video using vdub, that is find the frame where the movie breaks, cut to one frame before and start a new cut one frame after, it always solves the problem,. and the miss of one or two frames isn't noticeable. just make sure you cut using direct stream for both video and audio, and you wont have sync problems.
