I've noticed with the latest ATI Catalyst drivers hardware deinterlacing options.
I'm very keen to give these a try, however, I'm unclear how to force hardware MPEG2 decoding in any media player I have without uninstalling ffdshow and all my present codecs. I've only seen it with WinDVD which I no longer have a disc for.
Ideally I'd like to find out how to get Media Player Classic to decode using the hardware, but failing that if anyone can show me how to do it in any freeware player I'd greatly appreciate it.
