Can't play the last video on the dvd?

I'm converting rmvb into avi then to mpe2 using eovideo, tmpgenc3xp, and thmgencDvd author, nero. So when I'm done I tried playing the dvd but it wouldn't play the last file. At first I though it was a bad burn but I burn it a second time and the samething happen. Also I notice on the dvd there a thin empty line on the outer of the dvd maybe that the problem im not sure.

If you still have it, does your hard drive version of the DVD play the last portion properly, if you play the DVD "package" "as a DVD" (NOT just individual .VOBs), using a software player such as VLC player, WinDVD, or PowerDVD?

If the hard drive version plays properly, it may simply be a case of using low quality burnable media.

For further evaluation, it would be beneficial if you'd post the NERO log of your problematic burn.

In view of the fact that you're using "TMPGEnc DVD Author", is there a reason you've chosen not to let it do the burning?
