DivxMux & Audio Delays > 1000ms

In contrast to VirtualDubMod DivxMux does not support muxing audio files with delays or rather "offset values" > (-)1000ms. Why is that so?

i've tested clips that have -2500 and it works fine for me

Well, I use this command line:
DivXMux.exe -v VTS_01_1_EncoderOutput.avi -a o1533 "VTS_01_1 02 de-German 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY 1533ms.ac3" -o test.divx


DivXMux.exe version 6.1 build 36 then shows this:
WARNING: Only offset times between -1000 and 1000 are allowed (option ignored).

Consequently it uses muxes the file without applying the delay.
