i want to be able to quickly burn some mpeg2 files from my tv tuner

the only program i've got for dvd authoring is adobe encore, which does the job but completly re encodes the video before i burn it

what program can i use to simply take my mpeg2 files and make them into either a video ts file i can drop on a dvd or an iso / cue image with out having to entirely re encode

I use TMPGEnc DVD Author 2.0 for pure ease of use for doing the same job. Takes around 12-15 mins to compile and burn a project.

You do know of course that your MPEG2 source has to be completely DVD-compliant before you can make a VIDEO_TS folder? Are your files e.g. 720x480 or 352x480 and 48KHz audio for example. If not then they will HAVE TO be re-encoded.

If yes you can make elementary streams and import to freeware MuxMan 0.15p which will make a VIDEO_TS lickety-split.

I use VideoReDo Plus to edit my MPEG2s and output as Elementary streams--if your files are good-to-go I think you could demux with DGindex or one of a number of free tools.
