im just experimenting with RME, and i know how to preview/edit, and how to import other matrices, but how do you use imported matrices with dvd rebuilder pro? i thought if i imported it to RME, it would show up in the DVD-RB options, but its not there.

or in particular, i want to use AutoQ2 with DVD-RB.

do you just set RME in the preview/test section, then click "update DVD-Rebuilder" to apply the settings to DVD-RB?

Have you pointed RME's matrix folder to the same that Rebuilder is using?
And please note... if you import a matrix using RME you must re-start Rebuilder so it can read the matrices folder again.

Yes it should work like that... I never had a complain about that not working so I think it must be working fine.

ahh, the matrices showed up in the DVD-RB options now. i didnt restart DVD-RB...

is there anyway to import all of the matrices that come with HC Encoder without doing it one by one?

Copy the mtx's in.

but theyre in a different format (.cqm IIRC). i believe when you import them using RME, it converts them to mtx format.

oh well, not a big deal i guess. i probably wont use all of them anyway.

yes... you'll have to use RME to make the convertion.

The below is the standard matrix used by "MainConcept Mpeg Encoder".

I have not seen it posted anywhere so I thought I would post it here without starting another thread, as this thread does speak about matrices.

The Intra value's are exactly the same as CCE's standard matrix and the Non-Intra value's are very similar...but are different.

Just another Matrix to add to your list.:)

MainConcept Matrix:
