im currently using a phillips dvp642/37 with the latest firmware

what i'm trying to do it create a multisession dvd, using nero and/or b's gold and burn a divx file to disc to watch it on my player. when i add a second file to the disc (after ive burned the first file and not closed the disc) it creates a second session then i burn again without closing the disc.

heres the problem, i insert my disc into my dvd player and it just shows the first file i burned the first time, it dosent show the second, second session file i just burned.

is my player incapable of reading multisession dvds? or am i not doing something right?

im trying to just keep all my files for just one burn, but id like to watch a tv show i get weekly.

thanks for your help

Hi!what i'm trying to do it create a multisession dvdUnless something has changed that I'm not aware of, multisession DVDs are a "No-No" - and you'll get the same results you've gotten, regardless of the player...

Multisession CDs are an entirely different world. Many years ago, the only thing I remember using them for was data - and their benefit/necessity disappeared with the arrival of rewritable CDs...
