View Full Version : Disable Nero mpeg4 codec in 7.2.0.3b
Hi all
Does anyone know how to disable the Nero mpeg4 trial codec in Nero 7.2.0.3b.
Its messing up my audio sync when converting xvid to dvd.
Its not the avi's, that much I'm sure because the problem only started once I installed 7.2.0.3b. Rolling back to previous versions as well as advancing the pc clock to get it to expire doesn't help.
Please advise otherwise its format time for me.

MPEG-4 trial codec? Are you using a trial version? What are you attempting to do? (say the name of the thing you clicked, ex. Recode Main Movie to Nero Digital)
Hi
I am just trying to convert AVI's (xvid) to DVD using Nero Vision 4 (Nero 7.2.0.3b).
The resultant vob file's sound is consistantly out of sync.
I previously used Nero 6 without a problem.
However since I upgraded all my .vob files are out of audio sync.
I think its to do with the Nero mpeg 4 codec.
Thats why I want to disable it?
Thx

"I think its to do with the Nero mpeg 4 codec."
What makes you think that? Its not likely that thats the problem.
Its just a hunch...so do you know how to disable it ?

Get into your Device Manager, then find your video codecs. I, too, doubt that this is the source of your problems, but if it will set your mind at ease, find the Nero codec and remove it.
Be careful, asking for help on re-encoding an XviD source to DVD is borderline. See Doom9's Fair Use Disclaimer (http://www.doom9.org/disclaimer.htm), the Forum Rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm), and the Announcement (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?f=6) from atop the Newbies homepage for further clarification.
