Hey guyz,

I would like to ask how do I process mp3 files without loosing quality. I had to process some mp3s that I have (such as removing some parts of a song, add some part of a song to another etc.). when i process it using goldwave i usually save it as a wave and re-encode it; but it obviously loses quality. is there any-way i can do that without having to save the new work at a higher bitrate?

Audacity doesnt process mp3 lossless, try mp3direct cut. Following things can be done lossless in it: change volume (even fade in/outs), trim / split / join.
