I'm using the latest MeGUI (2129) with Nero AAC and AviSynth to Upmix a mp3 to Multichannel AAC. This works fine, but in order to be able to do it, I have to choose "Force Decode via Direct Show", because else I get a message that mpg Audio Input is not supported.
Now I've come to think a bit. Decode with Direct Show means, that it would use ffdshow (if installed), on which I can set some filters like clarify or volume adjustments. Would the settings of ffdshow alter the output file (like, cleaning it up a bit or so)? If yes, it might be a good Idea to implement separate ffdshow Settings to MeGUI ;)
