Hey,

I'm looking to improve my viewing experience on my new 16:9 (HD) TV. I'm using FFDShow upscaling (lancoz) which I greatly adore.

Theres a problem though. I like to stretch 4X3 content a bit, so it doesnt have quite as much black borders left and right, so I strech that to 1096x720 which still looks pretty unstretched to me, and leaves me with far less borders. Of course I have Keep A/R not ticked. For 16X9 content of course I upscale to 1280x720. This forces me to manually switch every time i change between the two formats, or 16:9 content will look skewed.

I tried messing with preload (or is it autload?) of profiles, but can't for the life of me figure it out. Would this be the way to go? If so could someone please assist me in setting this up? If not, any other options I could use for this?

Thanks a ton
Steven

You would want "on picture aspect ratio match".
