Hi there,

I am looking to clean up some webcam caps. Is there a MotionPerfect style filter for VDub floating around somewhere? Searching for MotionPerfect and Temporal Smoother (which isn't really what I'm looking for) didn't turn up much.

I am also looking for something that will remove the grain from cheap webcams.

Thank you for your time,
Frank Russo

MotionPerfect? Don't you mean SteadyHand? MotionPerfect synthesizes extra frames, it doesn't stabilize the video.

Try DeShaker http://www.guthspot.se/video/deshaker.htm
and MSU Denoising Filter http://www.compression.ru/video/denoising/index_en.html

Webcams are horrible. You can't "clean" crap. Sorry.

Nope, I was actually talking about Motionperfect.... Cause sometimes a webcam @ 15fps is all you have handy at the time of recording.

The results from the de-noiser you suggested look awesome! Thanx for the tip.

I am currently making a DVD out of some pretty awful 15fps digicam clips taken mostly in low-light conditions. If you can upload a small sample somewhere (like RapidShare, for instance), I might be able to suggest you a decent filterchain to use in AVisynth.
