hy!
i do re-encoding of mpeg2 pvr-250 pal tv captures, before with xvid, now with x264+megui. i use megui and would like to know what you think of my settings. i am quite satisfied with the result, but do you have any ideas of what to do better, what i do wrong etc? the file sizes turn out really good, from 800mb for a noise-less movie to 2,3gb for doktor sziwago, with xvid i usually used 2gb per movie, so thats good. thanx!!

recordings are from analog cable, using pvr-250, vbr 8200kbps (max 12000kbps), as much filtering applied as it needs not to block.
i go for max resolution. constant quantizer 20 (19.x would be nice, but how to enter in megui?)

here is the avs-script, that i vary because of different noise levels in different recordings. this is doctor sziwago:
