Don't know which filter

A relative of my familiy would like to have some old self- made vhs on DVD.

But these vhs are bad quality, like you can see in example picture and movie.

Quick question, what type of noise would yall call that? I know that it sometimes comes from bad cables or poor reception. Also, Ive been looking for a filter that handles that type of noise.

Interference. (Frequency interference, electrical interference, radio interference... although electrical interference usually manifests as crosstalk, and thus dot crawl+rainbows.)

umm did you capture it like that or is VHS source like that? I found relatively decent analog sources get gobbled up when captured if you use wrong settings. (like wrong type of NTSC, there is a bunch aparently). But if the source is like that when you watch it in vhs player... that's some messed up source!
