Cut wmv9 in avi

I have got video 1 files 11GB it is:
film.1280x720.AC3.avi
codec wideo: Windows Media Video 9 1280x720 23.98fps 6372Kbps
codec audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 384Kbps

Why I can cut this film Windows Media Encoder Seria 9 is doesn't working.

By cutting do you mean cropping?

I would cut large files like that with virtualdub. It's free, and for the purpose of just cutting a file into multiple files taking into account the keyframes it's the most convenient and fastest way of doing so

You might need VirtualDubMod since I'm not sure plain VDub can handle AC3 audio.

You'll need the WMV9 VCM codec install in order to edit the video. Just search for it on Microsoft's download site.
